Review the sample volume, 12V power rule, hot-fluid warning, and post-test handling instructions before use.Use 12V Battery PowerClamp the tester to a 12V vehicle battery. The working voltage is 12V, with a minimum of 10V. Do not reverse the positive and negative clamps or short-circuit with the vehicle.Use Enough Brake FluidFill the beaker with more than 40ml and not more than 50ml of brake fluid. Do not test without enough fluid, because empty boiling may damage the test stick.Wear Eye ProtectionWear goggles and avoid splashing brake fluid into your eyes. Follow the brake fluid manufacturer’s safety data sheet and the vehicle service manual.Avoid Burns After TestingThe test stick and fluid become hot after the boiling point test. Do not touch them directly after testing.Do Not Reuse Tested FluidDo not pour tested brake fluid back into the reservoir. The fluid structure has been changed by boiling, and reuse may affect driving safety.Brake Fluid OnlyAS506 is designed for brake fluid detection. Do not use it for other liquids or non-automotive purposes.Safety ReminderUse by professional technicians or trained service personnel only.Keep the tester away from children and untrained users. If the same brake fluid sample is tested repeatedly, different results may appear because the sample has already been boiled and changed. After testing, remove the unit vertically to avoid spilling brake fluid.Key FeaturesKey FeaturesAS506 focuses on boiling point detection for brake fluid maintenance decisions, with dual test modes, fast detection, clear OLED prompts, wide brake fluid coverage, and reverse polarity protection.Dual Mode SelectionUse Normal Mode for general brake fluid type selection or Brand Mode when you want to reference one of the supported common brake fluid brands.16-Second Fast DetectionPress and hold the S button for about 16 seconds. The tester displays live fluid temperature and completes the result after the progress bar finishes.Boiling Point MeasurementAS506 quickly obtains the minimum boiling point of brake fluid and provides official dry and wet boiling point values for reference.Wide Brake Fluid CoverageSupports DOT3, DOT4, DOT4 , DOT4ESP, DOT5, DOT5.1, DOT5.1ESP, ENV4, and ENV6 brake fluid types.Clear OLED InterfaceThe screen prompts mode selection, brake fluid type, voltage, test status, live temperature, and final test result for easier operation. No Consumable Test SticksThe tester does not require consumable test sticks for routine testing, helping reduce repeated testing costs when maintained correctly.Reverse Polarity ProtectionBattery polarity reverse protection helps reduce risk during 12V battery connection, but users should still connect red to positive and black to negative.3-Year WarrantyFor eligible non-human damage cases, AUTOOL provides 3-year warranty support and lifetime maintenance service guidance.Workshop-Friendly KitThe package includes the main tester, beakers, injection sampler, hose, carry case, user manual, and retail box as shown in the Packing List image. What Does AUTOOL AS506 Test? AS506 tests the boiling point performance of automotive brake fluid. The result helps users judge whether brake fluid should be replaced. It is positioned as a brake fluid boiling point tester rather than a simple water-content tester. Which Brake Fluid Types Does AS506 Support? AS506 supports DOT3, DOT4, DOT4 , DOT4ESP, DOT5, DOT5.1, DOT5.1ESP, ENV4, and ENV6 brake fluid types. What Is The Difference Between Normal Mode And Brand Mode? Normal Mode lets you select the brake fluid type directly. Brand Mode lets you select from built-in brand references including ATE, TRW, BOSCH, MOBIL, TOTAL, FUCHS, MOTUL, DELPHI, KUNLUN, FERODO, BREMBO, TEXTAR, MONARCH, and CHANGCHENG, then choose the matching brake fluid type. How Much Brake Fluid Should I Use For One Test? Use the injection sampler to fill the beaker with brake fluid above the 40ml scale and not more than 50ml. Do not test with insufficient liquid, because empty boiling may damage the test stick. What Power Supply Does AS506 Need? Use 12V vehicle battery power. The working voltage is 12V and the minimum voltage is 10V. Connect the red clamp to battery positive and the black clamp to battery negative. Do not describe the unit as a 24V tester unless an updated official manual confirms that specification. How Long Does One Detection Take? After selecting the correct mode and brake fluid type, press and hold the S button for about 16 seconds. Wait for the progress bar to complete, then read the test result on the OLED screen. Can I Pour Tested Brake Fluid Back Into The Reservoir? No. Do not pour the tested brake fluid back into the brake fluid reservoir. The sample has been boiled and its structure has changed, which may affect driving safety. How Should I Clean Or Maintain The Test Stick? After testing, empty the brake fluid and fill about 50ml of water to clean residual brake fluid from the test stick. If the tester will not be used for a long time, use water to dilute and remove residual brake fluid, then let the heating stick dry at room temperature. How Can I Check Whether AS506 Needs Calibration? Fill the beaker with water and test whether the boiling point reads around 100°C / 212°F ±3%. This is only a quick initial diagnosis. If stricter standards are required, the unit must be returned to the factory for retesting and calibration. How Is AS506 Different From AS501, AS502, AS503, AS505, And AS507? AS501 and AS502 focus on brake fluid water content. AS503 tests engine oil quality by transmittance. AS505 tests transmission fluid by transmittance. AS506 tests brake fluid boiling point using flash point heating technology. AS507 tests power steering fluid by transmittance. What Accessories Are Included? Refer to the Packing List image for final package contents. The package image shows the AS506 main tester, carrying case, beakers, injection sampler, hose, user manual, and retail box.
