Description The Ozone Kona 2 is the powered version of the Buzz Z6, featuring the same technology, advanced performance, comfort and ease of use. It is the perfect wing that is great whether you are flying with a motor or free flying. PERFORMANCE The Kona 2’s aerodynamic profile and leading edge are very clean, thanks to many of the performance-enhancing design features that have driven the last generation of wings. The aspect ratio of the Kona 2 remains the same as the Kona – increasing the aspect ratio is a simple method of increasing performance, but can lead to significant compromises in passive safety. While the Kona 2 is not a full-fledged reflex profile, it does feature the well-proven, robust Shark Nose profile, which is very resistant to breakage and forgives many mistakes in the braking range. The Kona 2 also features double 3D shaping for a cleaner leading edge; new internal structure for comfort and structural strength along with optimized line placement to reduce parasitic drag. The Kona 2 is a very modern wing that offers class-leading performance, durability and a high level of safety. COMFORT AND PROGRESS First and foremost, the Kona 2 is easy and comfortable to fly. The controls are intuitive, fun and maneuverable, with a progressive and precise feel through the brake. It is very compact, with perfectly coordinated roll and yaw during climb. In active air, the feedback from the wing is soft and predictable; filtering air movements in an understandable way. Take-off is an important part of every flight, and we paid special attention to the ground handling characteristics of the Kona 2. It fills smoothly, without overshooting in strong winds, and in zero wind conditions there is no tendency to hang. All these factors ensure you have the confidence to progress and have fun, whether you are flying under the power of a paramotor or in free flight mode. PILOT The Kona 2 is suitable for a wide range of pilots from talented beginners to the most experienced, it is ideal for those who fly around 30-50 hours a year and enjoy powered flying as much as free flying. Owning dedicated wings for both disciplines is expensive, the Kona 2 offers the perfect balance in one package. *This wing has met the criteria required by the DGAC and has passed the load test according to EN 926-1. In addition to our own extensive testing, it has also passed independent flight tests according to EN 926-2 with the trimmers set to the slow position. Releasing the trimmers or flying outside the EN certified weight range will invalidate any EN flight certification. The kit wing does not comply with EN 926-2 due to the inclusion of a trimmer system on the risers.
