Use of this device on the longest needle setting – 3.0 – is not for the faint of heart! As a beginner and new to micro needling, once I received the device and used the dial setting to extend the needles to their fullest length, I questioned why I ordered something that looks like a small torture device haha! Of course for my first time using it, I opted to used a less stabby looking length and went with the 1.0 setting. Much to my surprise, it didn’t hurt at all. I could feel the little needles pushing into my skin but there was pain or discomfort. I gently but steadily and firmly pressed the micro needling stamp all over my face and neck. I then applied vitamin E oil and castor oil and used a red light therapy device over my face for 15 minutes. That was on February 20th. It’s not recommended to do at-home micro needling more than once a week since you’re essentially creating small injuries to your skin and they need time to heal. It should be noted that for 2 nights before the 20th and every night since, I’ve also used the vitamin E oil and castor oil combo with a red light device. On March 1st, I used the micro needling stamp again, this time with a 1.75 mm needle length, a little longer than my first usage. I like the science behind using these micro needling devices, in that they create small injuries in your skin, which in turn stimulates your tissues to kick into healing mode and repair the injuries. It makes sense. When you get minor scrapes or cuts, after a few days new skin forms when healed. The same thing basically happens during this process. I’ve used it twice now (along with my oils and red light device) and I can honestly say that my face feels tighter, there’s a definite reduction in fine lines, and my neck is looking better also. I’m almost 57 years old and always searching for easy at-home ways to repair my skin. It’s only been since February 20th when I did my first micro needling and I believe this is going to be the best option for me without going to a plastic surgeon. So far so good with this device. I’ll be continuing to use it every 7-10 days, and based on my results so far, I believe this could be the best at home method for improving your skin. It’s a great value for the price. In my photos you can see the different lengths of the needles on different dial settings. I think it’s a good guide for beginners. There aid a lot of information on the internet regarding using different lengths or depths for micro needling, you just have to do some research and find what works best for you. Happy Stamping!
