Description Channeled Ocean Wind Basket And Ant Set. Our channeled ocean wind basket and ant set, has been crafted, with love and in tune with Nature, in several stages. The basket speaks of Zephyr, the west wind in Greek mythology. She’s accompanied by two ants. Boreas, [the north wind] and Eurus [ the east wind]. Zephyr started out as a simple basket, left for months in the workshop. There was the hint of sea breezes and foam on the tips of the waves, but for a long time, nothing else happened. She needed her 2 ants to help complete her and also set the final stages for her emergence. Channeled Ocean Wind Basket And Ant Set That Speaks From The Heart. Several pieces of recycled marine cord make up Zephyr, which have been coiled and stitched into a sturdy form using repurposed fishing line. Covering the rope, which forms her walls, are strips from a cotton mosquito net. Hand dyed in soft pastel colours of green, blue and pink, the mosquito net covers the frayed and crumbling rope. A natural element has also been added through the use of rose vine. Like all rose vines, it consequently tangles itself amongst the twisted strips of discarded cast netting that sits around the top. Boreas, the north wind, is the blue ant and Eurus, the green ant is likewise the east wind. Made from reused copper wire and as well as a selection of reused beads, these ants blow away and shift all your worries and concerns. Channeled Information Zephyr was initially made 6 months ago. She was a dainty basket that sat on Jo’s desk as well as keeping her company among the crystals, feathers and shells. The spray of cast netting hinted at the ocean, along with the aqua colour of her rope. As other baskets were made and sold, she continued to sit there. Jo just couldn’t part with her. Zephyr watched as Jo learnt to reused copper wire and beads and craft them into ants. She watched as these ants were sent off as gifts. She waited patiently, while Jo began weaving small baskets to accompany the ants. As Jo began making some new ants, Zephyr began to really emerge. The Hand Making And Finishing Begins The process was quite simple really. Jo initially began making two particular ants – one in blue, pale pink, and white and one in greens and pale pink. As she made them, she consequently became more aware of Zephyr and found herself matching the ants to Zephyrs specific colours. No sooner were the ants finished then Jo realized that Zephyr wasn’t finished. She needed to have some decorations that mirrored and complimented the 2 ants. It was while her beads were being stitched into place that her story emerged. A story of crystal clear, aqua waves that surge onto the beach. Of white froth and foam as the same waves crash and tumble. Have you noticed how aqua waves are transparent, like glass, as the lift and surge? And finally, can you recognize this message conveyed by this set? Where do you get your materials from?
