Description Ethical, Sustainable And Unusual Necklace.  We had so much fun making this ethical, sustainable and unusual necklace by using unconventional and unexpected repurposed marine debris.  Using recycled marine rope for the necklace cord, we then added two sea shells as a pendant, both made with repurposed microplastics, and all cleared off local beaches. Slow Fashion And Marine Necklace With A Message. Recycled marine cord makes up the necklace’s cord and also forms the foundation for this unusual piece of wearable art. Added to this is a pendant in the shape of 2 sea shells.  Both shells include faded red and white pieces of micro plastic embedded in clear bio resin.  To add a slightly unexpected yet pretty touch, we have added recycled seed beads into the mix as well, by hand stitching them in place along the cord using repurposed fishing line. Added into this is a piece of faded pink and stained fishing braid, which twists its way between the beads. This necklace also brings her own personal touch to your fashion accessory wardrobe. She is a lightweight and durable piece which furthermore won’t scratch or itch. The rope has been worn, and cleaned thoroughly, which has resulted in a soft  weathering of the cord. This makes it both soft and unique. What Resin Do You Use? Care for your necklace The rope can also be gently hand washed with soapy water if it becomes dirty or stained. Avoid submerging the stainless steel findings in warm water as this may soften the small amount of jewellery glue used to hold the cord in place.
